CUSTOM PIN PRICING
What will your pin cost?
Five choices tell most of the story.
Quantity, size, construction, metal, and backing shape the starting estimate. Your artwork and delivery details determine the final quote.

Transparent estimate.
THE SIMPLE PRINCIPLE
The unit price usually falls as quantity rises.
A custom pin has both repeat production costs and a one-time mold cost. Ordering more pieces spreads that mold across the run, which is why 500 pins normally cost less per piece than 100.
REAL ESTIMATOR EXAMPLES
A useful baseline, not a hidden promise.
These figures come from the same pricing logic as the live estimator: 1-inch pins, silver plating, butterfly clutch, and the allocated mold cost included. Shipping and taxes are excluded.

WHAT CHANGES THE PRICE
Six factors behind the estimate.
You can control most of these choices before sending artwork. We confirm the rest before any payment is requested.
Quantity
Higher quantities usually reduce the price per pin because the one-time mold cost is spread across more pieces and production becomes more efficient.
Size
A larger pin uses more metal and color. It may also need stronger spacing and heavier construction to keep fine details readable.
Pin construction
Printed, soft enamel, and hard enamel use different processes. In our estimator, printed is the lowest starting point, while hard enamel carries the highest base production cost.
Metal and backing
Gold plating adds cost compared with the included silver option. Butterfly clutches, safety pins, and magnets also have different material costs.
Artwork requirements
The estimator includes an allocated mold cost. Unusual shapes, extra processes, or specifications revealed during artwork review are confirmed in the final quote.
Shipping and taxes
Shipping, import charges, and applicable taxes are not included in the instant estimate. They are confirmed after we know the delivery destination.
HOW TO USE YOUR BUDGET WELL
Spend where the design will notice.
The best-value pin is not automatically the cheapest construction. It is the simplest specification that preserves the part of the artwork people are meant to remember.
Keep the shape and color story clear
Reducing unnecessary micro-detail can improve readability and help a smaller, more economical pin feel intentional.
Use one inch as the starting point
One inch is our most popular all-around size. Move larger only when text, fine detail, or visibility truly needs the space.
Compare construction before upgrading extras
First choose between soft and hard enamel. Then decide whether plating and backing upgrades add real value to the way the pin will be used.
PRICING QUESTIONS
What the estimate means.
Is the mold included in the estimate?+
Yes. The instant estimate allocates the mold cost across the selected quantity. You do not need to add a separate mold line to the displayed total.
Why can the final quote be different?+
The estimator covers the standard choices shown on the site. Artwork review may reveal unusual shapes, special processes, or production requirements that cannot be known from selections alone.
What is the minimum order?+
The minimum quantity in Pinform's estimator is 100 pieces.
Is shipping included?+
No. Shipping and applicable taxes are confirmed separately after we know the order details and delivery destination.
